已故蘋果公司聯合創辦人喬布斯獲追授美國總統自由勳章 X

<匯港通訊>   美國總統拜登宣布總統自由勳章得主名單,其中包括已故蘋果公司聯合創辦人喬布斯。

白宮形容,得獎者體現國家的靈魂。聲明又指,喬布斯的發明,已經並將繼續改變世界的交流方式,改變了電腦、音樂、電影及無綫技術行業。

喬布斯1975年共同創立蘋果公司,有份開發首批主流個人電腦,1985年一度離任,1997年重返蘋果公司並研發 iPod 和 iPhone 在內的產品。喬布斯亦是彼思動畫的聯合創辦人。他2011年因癌症去世,終年56歲。

總統自由勳章其他得主包括奧運女子體操冠軍拜爾斯、已故參議員麥凱恩及演員丹素華盛頓等。 (BC)
