美國第二季經濟料縮2.1% 上半年或步入衰退 X

<匯港通訊>   美國亞特蘭大儲備銀行的經濟分析工具 GDPNow 最新估算,美國本地生產總值(GDP)次季將收縮2.1%。若結果符合預期,連同首季收縮1.6%,今年上半年可能已經進入衰退,較市場預期為早。

GDPNow 根據最新公布的美國經濟數據,來估算經濟變化。DataTrek Research 共同創辦人 Nicholas Colas 表示,GDPNow 估算一向準確,市場關注6月28日公布的次季 GDP 數據,會否反映衰退情況。

此前一次,GDPNow 估算次季經濟增長0.3%。不過,基因本周公布的消費開支及本地投資數據,GDPNow作出新估算。

華爾街大行經濟師普遍估計,美國經濟明年才出現衰退。 (BC)
