巴西央行行長坎波斯內托稱目前減息步伐合宜 X

<匯港通訊>   巴西央行行長坎波斯內托在星期二播出的電視台專訪中表示,巴西目前的減息步伐合宜,巴西央行最近的兩次會議上皆減息50個基點,並暗示未來還會有更多相同幅度的減息。

坎波斯內托稱,央行認為通脹正朝著正確的方向發展,為央行每次會議減息50個基點的決定合理化。

為抑制通脹,巴西央行在近一年時間累計加息1175個基點,今年8月進行了3年來的首次減息。

9月中旬,巴西通脹率為5%,較去年5月時的12.2%高位,急劇回落。巴西央行2023年的通脹目標是3.25%,明年目標將為3%。

坎波斯內托已多次因高利率而遭總統盧拉批評,盧拉認為高利率阻礙了經濟增長;坎波斯內托2019年由前總統博爾索納羅任命,任期將於明年結束。 (BC)
