美指控Google前中國籍工程師為經濟間諜 涉竊取AI商業機密 X

<匯港通訊>     外電報道，美國司法部指控一名曾在Google任職的中國籍軟件工程師為經濟間諜，涉嫌竊取人工智能(AI)商業機密，為其秘密效力的中國公司謀利。

根據起訴書，去年3月被起訴、現年38歲的中國公民Linwei Ding(又稱Leon Ding)面臨7項經濟間諜罪名和7項竊取商業機密罪名的指控。一旦罪成，他將因每項經濟間諜罪面臨最高達15年的監禁，以及每項商業機密盜竊罪面臨最高10年的監禁。

Leon Ding於2019年加入Google，他被控竊取與Google自主研發的晶片相關的技術，並在2023年5月之前上傳逾千份機密文件，隨後向他創辦的一家中國初創公司的員工發送一份PPT演示文稿，稱中國的政策鼓勵發展國內人工智能產業。他去年3月對最初的指控表示不認罪。

Google沒有受到指控，並表示配合執法部門工作。 (ST)
