工會協助過百海皇粥店員工 被拖欠金額或達千萬 X

<匯港通訊>    開業33年的海皇粥店突然全線結業，並以債權人自願清盤形式清盤，飲食業職工總會正協助過百名受影響員工，估計被拖欠金額合共達800萬至1000萬元。

飲食業職工總會權益幹事招冠聰指，估計每名受影響員工至少被拖欠10萬元，部分年資較長的員工更被拖欠20萬至30萬元。受影響的員工中，約有20人是外勞。

飲食業職工總會秘書長黃必文預期，未來數日向勞工處求助個案會上升。員工的申訴補償過程或長達9個月至1年，更有可能不獲全額補償；而外勞一般簽約2年，現距離合約期尚餘1年，合約期及申訴期內可以留港，但不能工作，在港另覓工作要先回內地再申請來港，搬離員工宿舍後要再找住宿，追討程序亦比較繁複。 (ST)
