白宮形容加國總理向美國讓步　稱歸功特朗普強硬談判作風 X

<匯港通訊> 美國將重啟與加拿大的貿易談判。白宮發言人萊維特說,加拿大總理卡尼在過去的星期日晚致電美國總統特朗普,告知美方取消數字服務稅,可以簡單形容卡尼是向特朗普及美國讓步,亦是美國科技公司的重大勝利,歸功於特朗普強硬的談判作風。

萊維特又說,特朗普知道世界上每個國家,都需要與美國保持良好貿易關係,加方之前堅持實施數字服務稅是錯誤,會損害美國的科技公司。

對於美國財政部長貝森特警告,即使各國本著誠意談判,本月9日仍然可能面臨關稅大幅被提高的情況;萊維特說如果有關國家不真誠談判,特朗普將對當中很多國家設定關稅稅率,他本周將與貿易團隊會面,實現這項目標。 (BC)
