S&P 500 notches record close X

(Infocast News)    The S&P 500 notched a record high close on Wednesday (August 27) ahead of quarterly results from Nvidia, Wall Street's most closely watched event this week. 

The DJIA rose 147.16 points or 0.32%, to 45,565.23.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 45.87 points or 0.21%, to 21,590.14.

The S&P 500 rose 15.46 points or 0.24%, to 6,481.40.

Share performance was mixed in major European markets.

The FTSE 100 fell 10.30 points or 0.11%, to 9,255.50.

The German DAX fell 106.66 points or 0.44%, to 24,046.21.

The French CAC 40 rose 34.12 points or 0.44%, to 7,743.93. (WL)
