美國對沖基金Engineers Gate據報擬在香港設辦事處 X

<匯港通訊>  《彭博》引述消息指，總部位於紐約的美國對沖基金公司Engineers Gate，計劃在香港開設辦事處，以利用香港的金融人才資源。該基金規模52億美元。

知情人士指，香港辦事處將是Engineers Gate繼新加坡後，在亞洲的第2個辦事處，最早可能在明年第1季中期投入運營，但須獲監管部門批准，而Engineers Gate已經在香港招聘數名投資組合經理，他們將於明年加入。

該基金公司創始合夥人兼行政總裁Greg Eisner證實在香港設點，以及新加坡業務持續擴張的大致計劃，但沒有回應具體細節。他在一封電子郵件聲明中稱，Engineers Gate活躍於亞洲市場已經逾10年，建立本地業務據點，為公司打開了獲取頂尖人才和差異化阿爾法來源的新層次通道。 (ST)
