美國移民與海關執法局將參與世界盃保安工作 X

<匯港通訊> 美國移民與海關執法局代理局長萊昂斯出席國會眾議院聽證會時表示，局方屬下的國土安全調查局，將參與今年夏季美加墨世界盃的保安工作，形容是整個安保體系的關鍵組成部分。

萊昂斯指，國土安全調查局屆時主要負責與人口販運等刑事犯罪相關的調查，旨在確保參賽人員和外國訪客的安全，致力保障賽事順利安全進行，又指局方不會在世界盃舉行期間暫停執法行動。

移民與海關執法局被指在明尼蘇達州明尼阿波利斯市暴力執法，導致兩名美國公民被開槍擊斃，事件引起廣泛爭議，並在全美各地觸發示威。移民與海關執法局近日派員到意大利米蘭，協助保護美國冬奧代表團，亦引起當地民眾抗議。 (ST)
